In case you aren’t a regular follower of the PGA Tour, Bubba Watson not only plays on the PGA Tour, he’s aming the most exciting players to watch thanks to his enormously long drives and deft touch around the greens. And oh yeah, he also hapens to be a total goofball, who appreciates and lives life to the fullest. Bubba seems to be enjoying every minute as a profesional golfer, and as evident by the great time he’s having smashing stuff with a wooden club. We cant help but vault him up to the near top of our favorite players list, thanks to crap like this. It’s awesome to see a player of such a high caliber cut loose and have fun. We especially like the goggles and the apron.

New from Scotty Cameron, the California Series has a unique honey-dipped, coppery-looking finish that, well, actually reminds the Ryno Report of a California sunset. Milled of soft Staineless Steel and available in four different models, and $299 (ouch!), these putters look almost to good to actually use.

Check out this fairly decent look at how Tiger’s swing has changed through the years. Pretty interesting stuff, although we hate the way the scrolling thingy works. It’d be nice to see it all at once with some sort of zoom feature.

Look, we know that TaylorMade has driving consumers, not to mention retailers, batty over their countless product offerings in the last few years. It’s been a real headache for golf shops to move inventory out of their stores, partly because the consumer has picked up on the notion that if they wait, a newer version of the product will come out and/or the current version will be marked down in price, or there will be a stockpile of cheap used clubs to choose from somewhere.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen interchangeable faces on a wedge, but it’s definitely the first time a major equipment manufacturer has done it. TaylorMade will be introducing the TP Wedge with XFT, replete with an interchangeable face than when used with a TaylorMade torque wrench (same as the R9 tool) can be swapped in and out.
