New Scotty Cameron Putters

New from Scotty Cameron, the California Series has a unique honey-dipped, coppery-looking finish that, well, actually reminds the Ryno Report of a California sunset. Milled of soft Staineless Steel and available in four different models, and $299 (ouch!), these putters look almost to good to actually use.

FootJoy ICON

There is absolutely nothing wrong with these golf shoes. Nope. Nothing. Sporting the all-white, all leather (no silly plastic or rubber in sight) upper and a high-tech, super grippy sole, the FootJoy ICON series are all made to look good, feel good and look good (again.) No need for ridiculous zip-ties, neon, shiny nylon or silly designs. Just a nice, classic and refined look. We dig…

Tiger Then, Tiger Now

Check out this fairly decent look at how Tiger’s swing has changed through the years. Pretty interesting stuff, although we hate the way the scrolling thingy works. It’d be nice to see it all at once with some sort of zoom feature.

Quagmire Golf

“Giggidy, giggidy, giggidy!” (Sorry, we had to do that.) Quagmire Golf (no relation to the fictional cartoon character) is “lifestyle wear that can take you from the beach to the course and on to the patio for beer after the game.” The Ryno Report likes that, considering our liking of both golf, surfing and patios.

TaylorMade Pre-Owned

Look, we know that TaylorMade has driving consumers, not to mention retailers, batty over their countless product offerings in the last few years. It’s been a real headache for golf shops to move inventory out of their stores, partly because the consumer has picked up on the notion that if they wait, a newer version of the product will come out and/or the current version will be marked down in price, or there will be a stockpile of cheap used clubs to choose from somewhere.

TaylorMade TP – xFT Wedges

It’s not the first time we’ve seen interchangeable faces on a wedge, but it’s definitely the first time a major equipment manufacturer has done it. TaylorMade will be introducing the TP Wedge with XFT, replete with an interchangeable face than when used with a TaylorMade torque wrench (same as the R9 tool) can be swapped in and out.

A New Nike Driver?

Thank you to Paul Casey for posting on his Twitter page a pic of what looks like a new driver coming from Nike Golf. Judging by the picture and the compression chamber/channel whatever it is located behind the face, Nike has finally ditched the ridiculous bright yellow and cheapy aesthetics found in the SUMO line. Thaaaank you. Now, let’s hope this one sounds better too.
